Greek-Style Lamb Burger with Feta Cheese,

Red Onion, Cucumbers, and Greek Mayonnaise

For the Lamb Patties

  • 500g ground lamb
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons B-well Canola Oil

For the Greek Mayo

  • 1/2 cup B-well Thick and Creamy Mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup Greek yoghurt
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Assembly

  • 4 burger buns
  • 1/2 cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1 small red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 small cucumber, thinly sliced
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Sliced tomatoes

Instructions

1. Prepare the Lamb Patties:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground lamb, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, dried oregano, ground cumin, ground cinnamon, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties.
  3. Heat B-well Canola Oil in a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked to your desired level of doneness.

2. Prepare the Greek Mayonnaise:

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together B-well Thick and Creamy Mayonnaise, Greek yoghurt, lemon juice, dried oregano, salt, and pepper until smooth.

3. Assemble the Burger:

  1. Toast the burger buns lightly.
  2. Spread a generous amount of Greek mayonnaise on both the top and bottom halves of the buns.
  3. Place a lamb patty on the bottom bun.
  4. Top with crumbled feta cheese, sliced red onions, sliced cucumbers, lettuce leaves, and sliced tomatoes.
  5. Place the top bun on the burger.

4. Serve:

  1. Serve the Greek-style lamb burgers immediately, with extra Greek mayonnaise on the side if desired.
