Hot Chicks

The perfect crunchy munchy for those friendly gatherings, whether it’s for a rugby match, a braai day or during a movie. High in protein, packed with good fats and all the canola benefits, these yummy chickpea bites will have you hooked.

Ingredients

• 1½ Cups Pre-soaked or canned chickpeas (drained)

• 45ml B-well Canola Oil

• ½ tsp Fine Cumin powder

• ½ tsp Fine Coriander powder

• ½ Paprika

• ½ tsp Turmeric powder

• 1 Tbsp Soya Sauce

• 1 pinch fine black pepper

• 1 pinch Kosher salt

• Fresh chopped coriander (for garnish)

How To Make:

1. Pre-heat oven to 180ºC

2. Drain the chickpeas and allow to sit and dry slightly

3. In a sauce pan, combine the B-Well Canola oil, Soya sauce and spices together and mix well.

4. Allow to heat up on the stove till the marinade becomes hot. Once hot, turn off the heat and add the chickpeas.

5. Mix well so that each chickpea is covered with flavor. Allow to sit for 5 mins.

6. Line an oven tray with foil or baking paper and spread the coated chickpeas evenly.

7.Pop in to the oven for 30-40 mins or until the chickpeas are golden and crispy, check and stir the chickpeas around every 15 mins to allow even toasting.

8. Once crispy, take the roasted chickpeas out of the oven, allow to cool slightly and sprinkle the chopped fresh coriander.
