Leftovers Family Ring Roll

Transform your leftovers into an ultimate crowd pleaser! A savory bread ring, filled with delicious goodness, no one will ever guess it’s filled with dinner from the night before. Winner winner, leftover dinner!


For the Soft Roll Dough:

  • 3 Tbsp. B-WELL Canola Oil
  • 1 ½ sachet instant Yeast
  • ½ cup warm milk
  • ½ cup warm water
  • 2 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 large lightly beaten egg
  • 3 cups flour
  • Egg wash/ B-WELL Mayonnaise

For the filling:

  • B-WELL Thick & Creamy Mayonnaise
  • 1 ½ cups Left-over Chicken/Roast leg/Bolognaise/Veggie Mix, (shredded if meat) Can also use mixed chopped veg or 2 cans tuna (drained)
  • 1 cup Cheese, grated
  • 4 Tbsp. Chutney or Pasta Sauce
  • ¼ cup Fresh coriander/parsley
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp Black Pepper

How To Make:

  1. In large bowl, Whisk the warm milk, yeast, and 1 Tablespoon of sugar together and let sit until bubbly.
  2. Whisk flour and salt together and set aside. Add in rest of sugar, milk, oil and lightly beaten egg to water/yeast mixture. Whisk to combine.
  3. Slowly add in flour until a dough forms. Knead for 10 -15 minutes until smooth. Dough is sticky.
  4. Place in lightly oiled bowl, cover and rise for about 2 hours or until doubled in size. Punch down dough to release air and cut into two balls.
  5. Preheat oven to 200 ̊C.
  6. Roll out one of the balls into a circle and score pastry.
  7. Smear with chutney/pasta sauce of your choice. it gets absorbed.
  8. Spread the Leftover chicken, potatoes, cheese and herbs.
  9. Drizzle B-WELL thick & Creamy and sprinkle some salt & pepper.
  10. Roll end points into the center and secure.
  11. Brush tops with egg wash and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  12. Serve with sauce of your choice in the ring’s center and invite your friends and family to enjoy this delicious, waste-free meal.
